OPENS 5/4/24 TBC
John RJ Taylor’s groundbreaking domestic project launched him as a significant British voice in photography in the late 1980s. The V&A acquired a complete set of his prints of photographs he made of the domestic details of his sister’s suburban London home and a book was published in 1989. ‘Ideal Home – a detached look at modern living’, became an instant classic and was reprinted in 2022 by Dewi Lewis. This exhibition consists of vintage silver gelatin prints made by Taylor more than thirty years ago.
Flow Photographic Gallery will release a catalogue and a set of prints in time for the show. Details to be confirmed. Copies of the 2nd edition of Ideal Home are available from Dewi Lewis Publishing.
